held each year in Germany, Austria or Switzerland

Congress FiNuT? What's that?
Each year at the weekend around Elevation (May/June) a four days congress takes place, which is organized by and for women in natural sciences and techinal professions. The topics span from interchanging experiences over specialised speeches to political discussions. The femal visitors come together from all germanspeaking countries and often above that. The spectrum spans from schoolgirls to retireds and from university professor to craft persons. In the last years each time 300 to 600 women came together, providing around 100 events (speeches, workshops, excursions). Around the congress there are manifold opportunities to come together, get to know each other and to celebrate.

Organisation
The Congress was founded 1977 in Aachen, and in the beginning took place twice a year, later on yearly, in changing cities. The preparing group is found within the congress two years ago. It is organizing the congress on its own, bound only to the decisions made in democratic fashion on the former congresses.
